Apply to become a Jesuit Volunteer and be forever changed.

Becoming a Jesuit Volunteer (JV) is a journey for anyone — across faiths and spiritual backgrounds — looking to dedicate a year of their life to advancing social justice, serving their community, and putting their beliefs into action. JVs find personal transformation through service to others, permanently altering the way they see the world.

Jesuit Volunteers commit to a year of service within agencies at the front line of creating social change. JVs live in intentional community with one another, while engaging in the values of spirituality, simple living, social justice, and community.

We offer a transformational journey discovered via two paths - Jesuit Volunteer Corps and Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest. Hear from Jesuit Volunteers directly to begin your discernment. Applications are taken throughout the year, but the earlier you apply, the more positions will be available.

Next deadlines:

JVC Northwest - January 6, 2025

JVC - February 10, 2025

Love holds the power to overcome barriers, challenge perspectives, and transform hearts, in the face of adversity or immense joy. Most importantly, love can build resilient communities, rooted in trust, which is something I think we all need more of. Mollie Tirpak, New Orleans, LA '23-24
The experience of being a Jesuit Volunteer is deeply humanizing. Somewhere along the way we’re changed by the ways we show up or fail to for one another, our communities, and ourselves. Jamal Hanson, Nashville, TN '23-24
I realized that social justice work doesn’t care about my feelings of guilt or shame because our work is fueled by actions. Social justice work emphasizes that while feelings of guilt or shame can serve as initial wake-up calls, they should not be the end point. Meaningful progress comes from converting these feelings into actions that work towards dismantling oppressive structures. McKenna Krey, Anchorage, AK '23-24
